Join us on the autumn equinox for a special pop-up event- chef, Renee Baumann, and curator, Calli Goldstein, are teaming up with Atina Foods in their lovely outdoor kitchen to put on an evening of foraging, communal cooking and a dumpling-centered feast.
The afternoon starts with a guided foraging walk led by Renee Baumann through the surrounding woodlands and meadows. Then we'll gather around the fire and learn to wrap dumplings in three different styles - and cook all our food on Atina’s outdoor woodfire stove. Finally, we’ll feast on a delicious menu inspired by the flavors of fall including maitake, stir fried burdock root, and curried chicken bao buns with Atina Ferments and our findings of the day.

Tickets include the foraging walk and multi-course family-style meal. Vegetarian and options available. BYO wine and beer. (No dogs for this event.) Please let us know of any food allergies or other dietary needs– we'll do our best to make a menu everyone can enjoy!

Renee, RENEE MAKES
Renee is a Catskills-based designer, chef, and nature enthusiast with a passion for wild plants and fungi. Renee teaches workshops on identifying, cooking with, and even weaving with plants and fungi growing in the Catskills. She’s also the co-author and illustrator of Befriending Fungi, a Pocket Guide (created with Catskill Fungi), a visual guide for beginners who want to learn about mushrooms. Calli, LEXINGTON KLUBHOUSE
Calli is inspired to celebrate and share the gifts of nature, and is most at peace with her feet in the soil and her hands nourishing the things she loves. With a background in early education and programming, Lexington Klubhouse was born to bring the community outside and into the wonders of the mountains, creeks, fields, and valleys.
