Coconuts + Art (For Families!)

from $60.00

To celebrate Father’s Day, we’ll be exploring the delicious and versatile coconut. Adults and older kids can try their hand at splitting whole coconuts, then we’ll use the flesh to make a tasty coconut chutney. The coconut shell will become our canvas for paintings and other works of art. Through food and art, we’ll learn about the many historical and culinary uses of the coconut. The event will conclude with a light snack using our creations and everyone will take home a jar of chutney and their artwork.

This workshop will be led by Suresh Pillai, who learned cooking from the matriarchs of the family at an early age in his hometown in Kerala, South India, ancestral home of Ayurvedic health practices. It will be held at our certified commercial kitchen on our small farm property. Opportunities to tour the farm and shop at our Atina Home Store will also be available.

Please bring a hammer for this workshop!
