Ayurveda is the Indian practice of holistic medicine and an important part of it is diet. In Ayurvedic medicine, certain foods and herbs are eaten together to balance out a person’s health and to benefit digestion, immunity and more. While many Indian foods are Ayurvedic, many specialty brands are now expressly branding their products with the term. It goes along with the popularity of other functional or adaptogenic foods.. - Maura Judkis, Washington Post, July 6, 2018

At ATINA FOODS, we specialize in traditionally prepared condiments; Herbal Jams, Salt Ferments and more, using local and international ingredients. Adapted from the ancient system of Indian medicine, Ayurveda, our energetic and unique flavors are skillfully combined to bring out the best taste and health benefit for your food and self.

Herbal Jams, are made in the style of an Ayurvedic Leyham, an Indian wellness condiment, each with its own specific benefit, tastiness and pairing. Our Herbal Jams use an alchemy of known ancient blends to bring out the best flavor and regeneration to the body, mind, and taste palate. We follow the traditional method of making Lehyams;  preserving a remedy in Jaggery (unrefined raw cane sugar from India), to assure retention of the potency of the herbs  and spices while complimenting in taste!

Our line of condiments brings out the best taste in food, helping you to Eat The Food That's Good For You! We use whole spices, whole roots, fruits and herbs with beneficial combinations and handcrafted to balance 6 basic  tastes classified in Ayurveda as Sweet, Sour, Salty, Bitter, Pungent (hot) and Astringent (earthy / fermented), to generate a unique complexity of taste.
